Paraplanner and /or Trainee Paraplanner Vacancy with financial services firm in Chelmsford, Essex.
Title: Paraplanner (trainee and/or experienced required) – Full Time / Part Time / Contract
The Role: Paraplanning support to IFAs and assisting in the day to day running of the business.
Areas of work:
Pensions (PPPs, GPPs, EPPs, Occupational), Investments, Protections, Taxation & Mortgages
Duties will include:
· Dealing with new IFA & client enquiries
· Research using pensions profiler, synaptics, exchange, assureweb, morningstar
· New business preparation (illustrations, application preparation)
· Compiling full compliance requirements and suitability letters
· Processing letters of authority and collation of data for analysis
· Investment fund analysis and investment switching
· Dealing with client valuations and reviews
· Telephone work dealing with insurance companies, IFAs and their clients
· Database creation and management
· General office duties that may include opening post, scaning, diary management, stock control, filing etc
Who we’re looking for:
An individual who is motivated and wanting to further their career within the financial services industry. We are looking for either an experienced candidate or will consider someone with less experience and look to train you and help you to progress towards further qualifications and senior paraplanner level.
You should be motivated to study towards further industry qualifications at all times.
You should be a strong organiser with the ability to prioritise and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude. With a keen eye for detail and good grammar you will need to be I.T. literate and have ideally have some working knowledge of one or all of the following: O&M Pension Profiler, Synaptics and Morningstar Workstation. You should be a fantastic communicator and enjoy working either within a team or at times as an individual whilst managing your own workflow and tasks independently and efficiently.
You will be required to keep up to date with technical, product and provider changes.
Your hours of work will be between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day, Monday to Friday. We expect you to be willing to do overtime when required.
