National Compliance Director, Manchester £80k - £100k

Our Client is currently looking to recruit a National Compliance Director to join their Business.
The post holder will be the CF10 – Compliance Oversight and attend statutory board meetings, working with the operations board to provide guidance on FSA regulatory matters and internal business process and procedures to help deliver Senior Management, Systems and Controls. Full time Paraplanner/IT Support Professional, London

Financial Services Paraplanner and IT Support Job wanted for reputable Financial Services firm in London.
If we are unable to secure a suitable candidate with both sets of (diverse) skills we would offer separate positions for a Paraplanner (3 days per week) and for an IT Support Professional (3 days per week).
Paraplanner Role: To support consultants by gathering information, analysing information using 1st, Pensions Profiler etc to draw up reports. A positive attitude and relevant experience (in financial planning especially pensions) are more important than financial planning qualifications. There are a range of inhouse pensions, tax and investment professionals to draw upon and develop your knowledge.
IT Support Professional: Must have experience of administering small business IT and telephony systems. The candidate should have a strong personal interest in IT and broad knowledge of software and hardware support. Experience of financial services software would be an additional bonus. In addition to day-to-day enquiries from staff, the role will include liaising with an external IT specialist, procurement, set-up and ongoing administration of new hardware and software, plus administration of the company’s internal telephone and mobile telephones. An organised mind and positive disposition are essential.
Salary: For the Combined Role £30,000pa plus substantial benefit package; prorata for the separate roles.

The role is to ensure that the organisation’s compliance function works effectively and efficiently whilst becoming part of its operating culture thus supporting the business in terms of growth and success. You must:
Work closely with other managers and senior leadership to develop and implement compliance measures.
Ensure that current and future practice meets the organisation’s requirements.
Help create strong communication channels.
Set out clear frameworks, policies and procedures.
Develop and implement a risk based compliance monitoring system.
Ensure that appropriate plans are created and implemented to meet the development and training needs of staff.
Knowledge:
Experience of FSA rules and regulations with particular focus on retail distribution review
Extensive knowledge and experience of working with a business compliance function
Broad commercial awareness of regulation within the financial services industry
Knowledge and experience of rules and regulations relating to networks
The successful candidate will have significant experience in a senior compliance, or risk management role within an FSA regulated environment and full FPC/CF.
Having a relevant Diploma would be a distinct advantage.
